Eligibility Criteria for Assam Police Vacancy 2022

Here’s the list of eligibility criteria you need to consider.

1. First of all, the candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.  First selected candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after the publication of the final selection list.
2. The candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

Age Limit

• For the Assam Commando Battalions, the candidate’s age must be between 18 to 25 years as on 1st July 2022.
• For the Assam Police, DGCD & CGHG, and F & ES, the candidate’s age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 1st July 2022.

Age Relaxation

The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below.

• SC, ST (P), and ST(H) are 5 years.
• OBC/ MOBC is 3 years.

Educational Qualification

• The minimum educational qualification for the post of Safai Karmachari is Class VI.
• The candidates must be a minimum Class VIII passed from a recognized School or Institution and the maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council.

• The candidate’s weight must be proportionate to height and age as per Medical Standards.

• The candidates must be Physically fit and have a positive aptitude for the job.

• Candidates must not have squint eyes and should possess high color vision. Varicose veins shall be considered a temporary disqualification. He/ She must be in good mental and physical health. He / She must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

Eye Sight

• The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

• No application fee is to be paid by candidates.

Documents need to upload to the Online Application Portal of the Assam Police

1. Certificate of proof of age. (Admit Card /Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination) for the candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
2. Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination for the candidates who have passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
3. Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority who has not appeared in HSLC/Matriculation.
4. Class VIII Passed Certificate for the candidates who have not appeared in HSLC/Matriculation.
5. Certificate of addition essential qualification /requirement as applicable.
6. Certificate of Caste from Competent Authority.
7. Passport Size Photograph.
8. Signature.
