Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has officially released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 13404 Teaching and Non-Teaching Vacancy.

These vacancies include the post of TGT, PGT, PRT, Principal, Vice Principal, Music Teacher, Librarian, Junior Secretariat Assistant, and other posts in various Kendriya Vidyalayas across the nation.

KVS Teaching and Non-Teaching Vacancy 2023

  1. Assistant Commissioner
  • No of posts: 52
  • Age Limit: 50 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree.

2. Principal

  • No of posts: 239
  • Age Limit: 50 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree.

3. Vice Principal

  • Age Limit: 45 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • B.Ed or equivalent teaching degree.

4. Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

  • No of posts: 1409
  • Age Limit: 40 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
  • B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English media.

5. Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT)

  • No of posts: 3176
  • Age Limit: 35 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks.
  • B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
  • Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English media.

6. Primary Teacher (PRT)

  • No of posts: 6414
  • Age Limit: 30 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) Or
  • Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education.
  • Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Govt. of India.
  • Proficiency to teach through Hindi & English media.

7. PRT (Music)

  • No of posts: 303
  • Age Limit: 30 years

Educational Qualification:

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor’s Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University.
  • Competence to teach through English/Hindi medium. Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

8. Librarian

  • No of posts: 355

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science OR Graduate with a one-year diploma in Library Science from a recognized institution.
  • Working knowledge of Hindi and English.

9. Finance Officer

  • No of posts: 6
  • Age Limit: 35 years

Educational Qualification:

  • B.Com with 50% marks in the aggregate and at least 4 years post qualification experience in Audit and Accounts works. OR
  • M.Com with 50% marks and at least 3 years post qualification experience in Audit and Accounts works. OR CA (Inter) or ICWA (Inter) or
  • MBA (Finance) or PGDM (Finance) (2 years full-time or 3 years part-time) with 2 years post qualification experience in Audit and Accounts works.
